Pay Scale

Rs. 9,300-34,800/- ( PB-2) plus Rs. 4,600/- (Grade Pay) (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 34280/- p.m. approximately)

Age

Not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled Castes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualificaiton 

EDUCATIONAL
M.Sc. in Microbiology from a recognized University or Institute
Or
M.Sc. in Botany with specialization in Plant Pathology or Microbiology or Mycology from a recognized University or Institute or
M.Sc. in Agriculture with specization in Soil Science or Agricultural Chemistry or Agronomy or Microbiology or Plant Pathology or Horticulture or Agriculture Extension from a recognized University or Institute.

Desirable Qualificaiton (s)

(i) Ph. D. in any discipline mentioned in essential qualification

(ii) Two years experience in the field of research and development of biofertilisers and other aspects of organic farming.

Note-I The qualifications are relaxable at the Commission’s discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Note-II The qualification regarding experience are relaxable at the Commission’s discretion in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste in respect of posts reserved for them, if at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.

   
Duty(ies)

Testing of Biofertilisers, Organic Manures, Vermi-culture and different organic inputs in laboratory, isolation and authentication of different strains of effective microorganisms related with organic farming, Organisation of training programmes on organic farming, Organisation of field demonstration programmes on organic farming, Preparation of technical literature on organic farming.

Probation

Two years

Head Quarter

Ghaziabad or any of its Regional Centres located at Banaglore, Bhubneshwer, Imphal, Jabalpur, Nagpur, Panchkula, and liable to serve anywhere in India.

Other Details

General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted (Non-Ministerial.
The post temporary but likely to continue indefinitely.
