(i) Experience in Microbiological assay of vitamins and antibiotics, knowledge of modern instrumental, methods of analysis of biological products.

Duty(ies)


(i) Analysis of complicated drug samples by microbiological methods and also by using sophisticated instruments. (ii) Standardization of reference standards by microbiological methods and characterization of microbial cultures. (iii) Carrying out research work pertaining to quality control of drugs using microbial techniques.
(iv) Imparting training to drug analysts,
(v) Helping the sectional in charge in Technical and Administrative work including review of monographs of Pharmacopoeia.

A well Equipped Laboratory may be defined as a laboratory recognized as a research laboratory by (a) Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)/Department of Science and Technology(DST) or any other such Government Organisation or (b) by a University, for the purpose of accepting the work of research scholar for grant of Ph.D.

A Pilot Plant may be defined as a small industrial system, which is operated to generate information about the behaviour of the system for use in design of larger facilities.

Note-1 The qualifications are relaxable at the Commission’s discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Note-2 The qualification (s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, if at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.
