Essential Qualificaiton 

 A. EDUCATIONAL
(i) Good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science.

(ii) A Master’s Degree in Computer Science with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.

(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses and technology mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.

(iv) A minimum score of 300 points as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) by the University Grants Commission.

B. EXPERIENCE
Minimum of eight years’ of experience of teaching and or research in Computer Science in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/Industry excluding the period of Ph.D research with evidence of published work and a minimum of five publications as books and or research/ policy papers.

Explanation

1. The term “Good Academic Record” means at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E and F at Master’s Degree level in Computer Science from an Indian University or an equivalent Degree from accredited foreign University.

2. Fulfillment of any one of the conditions stipulated at EQ A(iii) will be considered sufficient towards requirement of EQ-A(iii ).

3. Consolidated API score requirement of 300 points from category III of APIs shall be as stipulated by UGC Notification dated 30 Jun 2010 as amended vide UGC notification dated 13 Jun 2013 for the post of Associate Professor.

4. Qualification acquired in the field of Information Technology/ Computer Application/ Computer Science and Engineering will be treated as relevant for the purpose of this recruitment.

Note I A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master’s level for the Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Differently-abled (Physically and visually handicapped) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.

Note II A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. degree holders, who have passed their Master’s degree prior to 19th September, 1991.

(iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in clauses (i) and (ii) candidates who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D.Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SLET)/State Eligibility Test(SET) for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/Institutions.

(iv) National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SLET)/State Eligibility Test(SET) shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

Essential Qualificaiton


(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification inclu¬ded in the First or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102of1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102of1956).
(ii) Post Graduate degree in the concerned speciality or Super-speciality i.e. Doctor of Medicine (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) or Master of Surgery (Obstetrics and Gynaecology).
NOTE-I The Medical qualifications possessed by the candidate should have the recognition of the Medical Council of India. In case of medical posts other than Allopathic system of medicine, the qualifications should be included in the respective Schedule of the Act governing that system of medicine.
NOTE-II Any Post Graduate Degree or Diploma awarded by any Indian Universities, included in or excluded from, the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956), consequent to recognition granted or withdrawn by Government of India as per provisions of the said Act shall be deemed to have been included or excluded accordingly from the Schedule-VI.
NoteIII The Post-graduate Medical qualifications awarded by India Universities must have been included in the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act,1956(102 of 1956) for the purpose of Schedule VI.
NOTEIV In the case of holder of Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.) or Magister Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) qualification of five years’ duration, the period of Senior Post Graduate residency rendered in the last part of the said of Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.) or Magister Chirurgiae (M.Ch) shall be counted towards requirement of teaching experience.
NOTEV For equivalence of DNB qualification with MD/MS or DM/M.Ch the candidates holding DNB qualifications would need to get their qualification verified by NBE as to whether it is as per the requirement of the Gazette notification No.MCI-12(2)/2010-Med.Misc.dated 11.6.2012 and produce such verification certificate at the time of interview.
NOTE-VI The qualifications are relaxable at Commission’s discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
NOTEVII The qualification regarding experience are relaxable at Commission’s discretion in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled castes and Scheduled Tribes in respect of posts reserved for them, if at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them
B. EXPERIENCE
. At least three years teaching experience in the concerned speciality as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar in the concerned Specialty o Super-speciality in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining the first Post graduate degree.
NOTE- Teaching experience in any other post like the post General Duty Medical Officer/Medical Officer shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to teaching posts.

Important Instructions to fill Online Application Form
Online submission of application may be made at website www.upsconline.nic.in. Detailed instructions are available at the site. Candidate should read the instructions carefully before making any entry or selecting options. Candidate should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. Mandatory fields are marked with * (asterisk) sign. 

The filling of online application contains two parts :-For National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (I) - 2015


Registration of Part-I & Part-II will be treated as valid from 00-00 hrs of 27-12-2014 to 23-59 hrs of 23-01-2015
and applicants making force entry outside the above timings will be treated as invaild.

In Part I registration, candidate will have to fill basic information. On submission of details, candidate will be prompted to check the details and make correction, if any, in the application.
  1. Candidate may press “I agree” button after he/she finds that information supplied by him/her is in order and no correction is required. Thereafter no correction/modification shall be allowed.
  2. When “I agree” button is pressed, a page with Registration No. will be generated. Please note down registration number or take a print out of the page. The application is incomplete without payment , selection of centre, uploading of scanned photograph & signature and agreed for declaration.
  3. Scanned photograph should be in JPG format. The digital size of file must be less that 40 kb and greater than 3 kb and resolution 140 pixel height by 110 pixel width and Bit Depth of image file should be 24 bit.
  4. Then upload your scanned signature in JPG format. The digital size of each file must be less that 40 kb and greater than 1 kb and resolution 110 pixel height by 140 pixel width and Bit Depth of image file should be 24 bit.
  5. Candidates can pay application fee online though SBI net banking or cash through SBI bank challan or through credit card/debit card.
  6. To pay fee in cash, candidate should take printout of challan generated online after completion of registration. Candidate may go to nearest SBI branch for depositing fee after 24 hours of submission of online form.  
  7. Those who want to pay online through SBI portal can go directly after submission of form.
  8. Those who are exempted from payment of fee can skip steps 5 to 7.
  9. On successful completion of your complete application, an auto-generated email will be sent on your registered email-id. In case email is not received by you please check / ensure that submission of Part-II of the Application has been made by you.
  10. Candidates are advised to go through the instructions carefully before filling up the application form.
