Pay Scale
Rs. 15,600-39,100 ( PB-3) plus Rs. 5,400 (Grade Pay) (Pre-revised scale of pay Rs.8000-275-13500/-) (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs.42470/-p.m. approximately)
Age
Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date for General category candidates. Relaxable for Government Servants upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualificaiton (s)
A. EDUCATIONAL
Post Graduate degree in Chemistry with specialisation in Bio-Chemistry from a recognised University or equivalent.
B. EXPERIENCE
Three years research/teaching experience at degree level in Bio-Chemistry, Or
Doctorate in Bio-Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualificaiton (s)
1. Research experience in Carbohydrate Chemistry.
2. Experience of guiding research work.
Note 1- No equivalent qualifications are suggested.
Note 2- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Duty(ies)
(i)Teaching, Research and rendering technical advice to sugar and allied industries.
(ii) Any other work assigned by the Senior Officers/Director.
Probation
One year for direct recruits.
Head Quarter
Kanpur, but liable to be posted anywhere in India.
Other Details
General Central Service, Group ‘A’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
The post is permanent.
