Pay Scale
Rs. 15, 600-39,100 plus Rs. 5,400 (Grade Pay) in PB-3. (Total Emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 43,470/-p.m. approximately)
Age
Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date and not exceeding 38 years for other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualificaiton (s)
A. Educational
Master’s Degree in Physics from a recognized University or Institute.
B. Experience
Having at least three years research experience in Physics.
Note The qualification(s) are relaxable at the discretion of Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Duty(ies)
To carry out research in Physics applied to projects in the discipline of Seismology, Vibration Technology, Geophysics, Soil Mechanics, Rock Mechanics, Hydrology and Structural dynamics by way of field data collection, laboratory testing, data analysis and interpretation and mathematical modeling.
Probation
one Year
Head Quarter
Khadakwasla, Pune, with All India Service Liability.
Other Details
General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The posts are Permanent.
